Relx ditches Netherlands for the UK
Relx, the business information giant formed by the Anglo-Dutch merger of Reed and Elsevier quarter of a century ago, has scrapped its corporate structure in the Netherlands to unify under a single UK parent company.
The manoeuvre has been executed in parallel to similar move in the opposite direction by Unilever, but without the political tug-of-war between Britain and the Netherlands that preceded the Persil makerâs decision to make Rotterdam its sole corporate base.
