Men's choir from the Netherlands shares music, history at Orange Baptist Church
A choir concert at Orange Baptist Church will pay tribute to 8,301 U.S. soldiers who died liberating the Netherlands during World War II.
The Mergelland Menâs Choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The singers are the descendants of families who tend the graves of American service members in the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten.
The townâs residents adopted graves to maintain as a way to show their gratitude for the soldiers who gave their lives trying to free the Netherlands during World War II. There is a waiting list for people hoping to adopt graves.
The concert is free. For details, call (540) 672-2996.
