Pakistan summoned the Netherlands' envoy to the country to express their dissatisfaction about a Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest organized by anti-Islam PVV leader Geert Wilders. "Deep concern was conveyed about this willful and malicious attempt to put Islam in a bad light", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad said, RTL Nieuws reports.
The country called the contest a "terrible and shameful plan". The Pakistani ambassador in The Hague was instructed to address this as well. The country also plans to bring this to the attention of the United Nations, according to the broadcaster.
Wilders plans to hold a contest for the best cartoon of Prophet Mohammed later this year. According to him, he's received hundreds of entries. T he competition will be held in a closed part of the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament. The PVV offices are located there.
In 2015 Wilders attended a Mohammed cartoon contest in Texas. He left just before jihadists tried to commit an attack.
